Bandi Belt Review

I have been running but haven’t had a chance to write. So not used to writing down what I have been up to so bare with me as I get used to writing my thoughts on this blog.

Over 2 months ago I went to the LA Fit Expo and it was pretty cool to see so many fitness people in one place. I have been to it a few times but it amazes me each time how many new up and coming exercises and accessories that have made their way into the fitness world. It also is great to see what has lasted over a period of time. The last couple of years I have been there I have seen booths for running belts (everyday uses as well) that I have been interested in trying but just never have. This past year I decided to enter a raffle to win one of the belts specifically the Bandi Belt. It looked and felt super comfortable. To my surprise I did win a Bandi Belt. Beth from Bandi Wear contacted me and was super awesome making sure I received my belt in a timely manner and without any sort of payment since I was the raffle winner.  Already was even more excited because of such amazing customer service from Beth!

Longest Run To Date

I have been running but not as consistently as I would like to. But I am glad I am still running at least 3 times a week. When I take a few days off though I do feel it and need to get into more of a routine even if it is 2 miles a day.  The planning has begun to make this happen, and my goal is to be able to run 5-7 days a week.

One Of My Favorite Places To Run

When I started running I did so hesitantly because quite honestly running seemed boring to me especially on the treadmill where you aren’t going anywhere at all. I have tried in the past to run and I would listen to music but it never really relaxed me or seem that I was getting any faster. I wasn’t trying to be super fast but I felt like I could walk faster than I could run sometimes and that didn’t make any sense to me. To me not getting faster and running seemed like a waste of time so I would stop running.

My first 10k of 2015!

My mini goal for this year was to run a 10k race every month but I got lazy in January and didn’t run a race. I was disappointed in myself for letting that happen so this past month I was looking for a good race to do. It so happens my boyfriend won an entry from +INVIGORADE into the Coronado Valentine’s 10k race. I had been interested in the Coronado race ever since last year when I saw it randomly being promoted on Facebook but wasn’t sure I was ready to run a 10k yet. But this year I decided I could do it because I have been running 5 or 6.5 miles when I go out for my runs. I am trying to run longer but haven’t been able to work my way up to 7 miles just yet. But I know I will!

The Joy of Running

Let me start off by saying that I am a new runner. I never enjoyed running in P.E. classes and was always happy when I was done so I wouldn’t have to do it again.  I was much more of a swimmer, and then found love for other forms of fitness, like Kickboxing.  I only recently decided to start running because I live close to the beach and thought maybe the ocean would be calming when I went on a run. It truly is a peaceful experience when I get to run on the beach alone. The more I run the more I enjoy it even if isn’t on the beach but through a neighborhood near work or on a running trail. Running gives me time to think and relax and exercise all at the same time.  I began to truly understand the runner’s “high” I had read about.
