Marlene S.: My name is Marlene, I’m a certified personal trainer (NESTA) as well as certified Fitness, Health & Sports Nutritionist (AFPA). I would love to share my personal experiences with nutrition and training for my very first 1/2 marathon. I am a 36 year old woman who loves to swim, run and kickbox. I teach a Women's Only Muay Thai Fitness class but have found a new love for running as well. I am a woman on a mission and am ready to start my journey to running my first 1/2 marathon. I have been running every other week which isn't bad but I want to run at least 3-4 times a week to get ready to run a half marathon. I am using this blog to share my journey and to keep myself on track to reaching my goal this year. I hope everyone who reads this blog will enjoy what I am writing about whether it be about my struggle to stay on track with eating healthy or my early morning runs that sometimes are hard to do because getting out of a warm bed can suck!
